We started as LED specialists and grew into New Jersey's most trusted full-service energy partner — because we never cut corners, and we never stopped learning.
Lumens America started with a simple belief: energy upgrades should be straightforward for the businesses and property owners who need them most. We launched as LED lighting specialists serving commercial customers across central and northern New Jersey — and quickly found that the companies doing the most good for their clients were the ones who knew the PSE&G incentive landscape inside and out.
We became a PSE&G Certified Trade Ally from the beginning — not as a credential to advertise, but as a commitment to doing the work the right way. That certification meant we could access programs most other contractors couldn't offer, and structure projects so customers paid as little out of pocket as possible.
Over time, customer demand pulled us into HVAC and solar. The scope grew, but the approach didn't change: assess honestly, design to code, install cleanly, and handle the rebate paperwork so you don't have to. Today we serve all of New Jersey — all 21 counties — from single-location retail businesses to hospital systems and multifamily portfolios.
What hasn't changed is the team. The people who built Lumens America are still here — still showing up on job sites, still navigating PSE&G applications, still following up when something isn't right. That continuity is rare in this industry. We think it matters.
PSE&G's Trade Ally Network is the gateway to NJ's most powerful energy incentive programs. Only contractors who meet PSE&G's standards for technical competency, financial stability, and compliance can become certified — and only certified contractors can submit projects through certain program tracks.
For customers, working with a Trade Ally means the contractor already knows the programs, understands the paperwork, and has a direct relationship with the utility. That translates to faster approvals, fewer surprises, and more money back in your pocket.
Prescriptive, Direct Install, Engineered Solutions, Multifamily, and OBR financing — most contractors can only access one or two.
Our established relationship with PSE&G means applications move through review faster and with fewer revision cycles.
Applications, pre-approvals, M&V documentation, and post-installation inspections — all managed by Lumens America on your behalf.
Independently verified by PSE&G to meet technical, financial, and compliance standards required to administer all commercial and residential incentive programs.
✓ Active CertificationCertification maintained continuously since our founding. Renewed annually through PSE&G's Trade Ally compliance review.
PSE&G Recognition
In March 2023, PSE&G awarded Lumens America the Fast Track Sprinter designation — given to the single Trade Ally that delivered the most Fast Track kWh savings in lighting across all PSE&G partners statewide. This isn't a participation award. It's a performance record that reflects the volume, quality, and speed of the work our team delivered for NJ businesses that year.
Every installation we complete is inspected, documented, and backed by our workmanship warranty. We don't rush jobs to hit volume targets, and we don't sub out quality-critical work to crews we haven't vetted. If something isn't right, we come back and fix it — no invoices, no arguments.
You'll know exactly what your upgrade will cost, what incentives will offset that cost, and what the monthly OBR repayment looks like before we start. We don't quote low and adjust later. If a project doesn't pencil out for the customer, we'll tell you — even if it means walking away from a job.
We're not a national contractor with a regional sales office. Our leadership, our crews, and our families are in New Jersey. The buildings we upgrade are in the communities where our kids go to school. That's not a marketing line — it's the reason we care about the work we put our name on.
A free energy assessment takes 45 minutes and shows you exactly what programs your facility qualifies for — and what it would cost you, out of pocket, to get started.
